The combined resorts of Val d'Isere and Tignes, known as L'espace Kill
is one of the biggest and most versatile ski resorts in the world. The
resort is vast with a modern and well thought out lift system, which
gives you access to every corner of this huge domain. With the best
snow record in Europe and, added to the network of snow cannons, it
can guarantee top to bottom skiing from late November until early May.
The two Glaciers, Le Fornet in Val d'Isere and the Grande Motte (3450m)
in Tignes (open 365 days a year) are open in the summer and host many
racing teams as well as keen skiers who come to improve their skills.
The Parc de Vanoise is home to an abundance of wildlife, and supports

But, what really makes the Val d'Isere-Tignes area so special are the
off-piste possibilities. Wonderfully varied terrain on all expositions
give guides a chance to find good snow on a daily basis throughout the
season.
The vastness of the domain is staggering. Stretching from the Vallon de
la Sache and les Brevieres at the far end of Tignes, to the Col Pers and
beyond at the Fornet end of Val d'Isere, with a huge area in between.
With routes off the Col du Palet towards Champagny and les Arcs, with
Ste Foy and Villaroger just down the road, and La Rosiere-La Thuile a
bit further on, the combined possibilities make for the best off-piste
skiing domain in the world.
Val d'Isere and Tignes combined consists of a terrain of 97 lifts including
four cable cars and two mountain trains. From Val d'Isere there is a ski
link to Tignes and a way of returning to Val d'Isere by either taking
the aeroski or one of two chairlifts. The renowned areas of the Espace
Killy & Tignes provide some of the best skiing around, legendary off-piste
itineraries and an incredible ski area for connoisseurs of all disciplines.
